The New York Knicks just showcased arguably their best performance of the season on Saturday, as they defeated the surging Milwaukee Bucks, 136-134, after a thrilling contest that needed overtime to decide a winner.

Following the big win, Knicks swingman Tim Hardaway Jr. was singing the praises of rookie Kevin Knox, who had a career-game against Giannis Antetokounmpo and co.

According to Hardaway, Knox's big night is a product of the 19-year-old's perseverance and determination.

“I'm just proud of him fighting adversity,” Hardaway said of Knox, via reddit user u/dannylenwinn. “It's crazy how many people were backing off of this kid. He came into work, he came into practice every single day, got there early, stayed later, put up extra shots, asked questions.”

Knox has been considered by most as a disappointment thus far, after the ninth overall pick has struggled early in the season. As Hardaway explained, even Knicks head coach Dave Fizdale could not hide his frustrations towards the rookie. Nonetheless, this only served as motivation for Knox.

“Coach got on him a little bit, but he took it to heart,” he added. “He turned it from a negative thing into a positive thing. And that's what this is all about. This is the culture we're trying to build, and he's a definition of it.”

Knox put up a career-high 26 points (on 9-of-20 shooting), five three-pointers, four rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block in what was easily his best game as a pro. Hopefully, he is able to build on this outstanding performance and begin living up to the high expectations everyone has on him, helping the Knicks in the process.
