The New York Knicks are at the bottom of the standings to begin the 2019-20 season. Their losses have them seeking more questions than getting answers on how to improve their outlook for the future.

Nevertheless, despite the ugly start, head coach David Fizdale isn't about to lose his job just yet, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.

Furthermore, Marcus Morris came to the defense of the 45-year old and dismissed any talks that the Knicks need a coaching change:

“Fiz is putting us in the best position to be successful,’’ Morris said. “It’s up to us to execute the game plan better. Fiz has been nothing but a great coach for us and given us what we need.”

Obviously, it's just the start of the season, so the Knicks may want to take a wait-and-see approach on how the year goes by with Fizdale patrolling the sidelines. It's not as if they are expected to compete this year anyway.

New York is currently second-to-last in net rating and 28th in offensive rating, per NBA.com. Their defense isn't as bad, but it's still in the bottom third of the league. The numbers surely don't look good right now, and there has been some controversy over how Fizdale has handled RJ Barrett's minutes and the rotations in general.

As bad as they have been for nearly two decades now, it might be hard for Knicks fans to swallow the patience pill once again. If the team doesn't show any kind of promise this season, then Fizdale might become the first coaching casualty this season.
