Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis just couldn't catch a break from injuries. Just over two weeks since returning from a knee issue, the big man sustained another injury on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz.

Late in the second quarter of the game, Davis went down after grabbing a rebound against Rudy Gobert. He quickly held his right ankle in pain and rolled on the floor. The Lakers' staff immediately attended to him and he was eventually taken off the floor.

Anthony Davis heading to the locker room is a concerning sight for Lakers fans, with the big man escorted by his teammates as he was unable to put any kind of weight on his right leg.

Davis has been marred with injuries throughout his career, so it is definitely worrisome to see him fall to another injury. He is one of the most dominant big men in the NBA when healthy, but he just can't complete a month in good health.

As mentioned, he just recently came back from an MCL sprain that cost him 17 straight games. He was rusty when he came back last January, but it didn't take him long to get back to his dominant self. While LA continued to struggle even in his return, there is no doubt he is a key piece for the Purple and Gold and is necessary for them to turn the season around.

The extent of his latest injury is still unknown, but given his history, the Lakers might opt to rest him. The good news for LA is that the NBA is heading to the All-Star break, which should give AD some chance to heal without missing a ton of games.
