Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers are heading to the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, the late Kobe Bryant won't be able to watch the heralded franchise attempt to capture yet another title after he tragically died earlier this 2020.
Despite the absence of Bryant, however, Davis and the Lakers clearly understand the importance of dedicating this season to the Los Angeles legend.
Not only that, but Davis also made a point to mention the team's success in their “Black Mamba” jerseys — threads that the Lakers have never lost in as it stands today.
A sneak peek at my conversation with Anthony Davis – we discussed the Lakers dedicating their run here to Kobe, including wearing special Mamba-themed jerseys.

Anthony Davis is currently in the midst of his first season as a member of the Lakers after previously spending the first seven seasons of his professional playing career with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Finally making an impact on a team that has been able to make a deep postseason run, Davis continues to shine on the biggest stage while proving that he is most definitely one of the league's best all-around players.
Teamed up with fellow Lakers superstar LeBron James in Los Angeles, the All-Star tandem will now face quite the tough test against the surging Miami Heat in the 2019-20 NBA Finals.
Like the Purple and Gold franchise, the Heat have only lost three postseason games in total down in Orlando. With much more at stake come Wednesday evening though, it is more than likely that the NBA Finals will go the distance compared to the Heat and Lakers' previous playoff matchups.
