Avery Bradley said earlier that the opportunity to play alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis is one of the main reasons why he chose to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, Rajon Rondo may have played a part too in his decision.

In a conference call with the media, Bradley also admitted that reuniting with Rondo allured him to join the Lakers. He emphasized that Rondo is like family to him, and while Rondo didn't really exerted any effort in recruiting him to Los Angeles, Bradley said that the veteran guard's presence drew him in.

Bradley and Rondo played together with the Boston Celtics from 2010-2014. Although they were legitimate playoff contenders back then, they were not able to win championships, as they were often stopped by the then LeBron James-led Miami Heat.

Still, Bradley learned a lot from Rondo, which was evident in his improvement over the past couple of years. Bradley was a member of the All-NBA Defensive Second Team in 2013 and First Team in 2016.

Rondo may have helped the Celtics win a championship at the expense of the Lakers back in 2008, but he's bleeding Purple and Gold now. Besides, his presence alone has helped the team get one solid free agent this offseason.
