LeBron James has outstayed his welcome with the Los Angeles Lakers. At least this is what former NBA player turned ESPN analyst Jalen Rose seems to think. According to Rose, the only way LeBron will be able to win his fifth championship is if he leaves Hollywood.

Rose took it a step further by declaring which team he believes LeBron should sign up for. In his mind, the best path to a title for James would be to join the Cleveland Cavaliers:

“If LeBron really wanna go win a championship, you know what he needs to do? He go to Cleveland and play for the minimum,” Rose said on a recent episode of ESPN's Get Up. “That's what he actually needs to do. Not force them to give up any of their young assets like Garland and Mobley, who were terrific this weekend, along with Jarrett Allen. Sexton is still a part of their group, period.”

Rose has also sent out a warning here for the Cavs now that LeBron is being linked to a sensational return to his home team. We all know how LeBron James-led teams have a knack for parting ways with young players on the squad (and draft picks, too) in order to bring in pieces that can help the squad win now. Rose clearly thinks that Cleveland is in possession of a highly-promising young core right now and that they should not do anything to break it up — not even for LeBron.

Jalen Rose then went on to explain why he believes LeBron's love affair with the Lakers needs to come to an end now:

“He's already won his championship in LA and that's okay,” Rose continued. “… When you're a member of the Lakers, they're like, ‘What have you done for me lately? We won (the championship) way before you, we hope to win it after you.' So now when they're not in a contender position, it looks odd to so many people.”

Does Rose have a point here? Is it time for LeBron to leave LA in the offseason? Should he be willing to take a minimum deal to join the Cavs? Does Cleveland even want him?

These are just a few of the burning questions that have been brought about by the Lakers' disappointing season and it only goes without saying that it's going to be a very interesting offseason for both the organization and LeBron James.
