The Los Angeles Lakers made some pretty high-profile acquisitions this offseason. From Russell Westbrook to Carmelo Anthony, the star power has gone through the roof for the Purple & Gold that already boasted LeBron James on its roster. The chance to play alongside so many historically great names was not lost on fellow Lakers addition Kendrick Nunn.

The former Miami Heat guard will be among a handful of potential first-ballot Hall-of-Famers on the Lakers, but Nunn sounds more than up for the challenge.

Via Matt Peralta of Lakers Nation:

The Lakers boast five sure-fire Hall-of-Famers in James, Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard and while that can be intimidating for some players Nunn said he is completely comfortable with it.

“It feels good. I feel like I belong honestly,” bared Nunn. “I just want to bring my strengths here and fit alongside the guys in the locker room. We all come together as one and get it done. We all come here for one goal.”

Beyond just playing alongside some legends of the game, Kendrick Nunn was mostly in awe of playing for one of the most storied franchises in sports history.

“It means a lot. I’m honored to be in this position to put on an L.A. Lakers jersey and it’s a powerhouse franchise and it means everything. It means a lot. Putting on and represent this city. Obviously I’m a kid from Chicago, the south side of Chicago, but I love L.A. and I want to represent them as much [and] as well as I can.”

Kendrick Nunn has a real opportunity to provide some firepower off the Lakers bench. He's already proven his worth on a playoff team in the Miami Heat. Hopefully his scoring ability translates from one coast to another.
