Earlier in the week, Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett ripped the Los Angeles Lakers for their list of candidates for the head coach opening in Hollywood. The Lakers announced on Friday that they were hiring Darvin Ham as the new man at the helm and unsurprisingly, KG had a few things to say about this decision as well.

Garnett did a sudden u-turn, though. Instead of criticizing the Lakers yet again, the 15-time All-Star decided to give Ham his flowers:

โ€œCongratulations D ham โ€ฆ you deserve it bro ๐Ÿ’ฏ Go in there n get em right ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ’ฏ #darvinhamโ€ Garnett wrote in his Instagram post.

Garnett's latest message is a far cry from the staunch criticism he had for the Lakers when it was announced that Darvin Ham, Terry Stotts, and Kenny Atkinson were the three finalists for the job. Clearly, KG did not believe that any of these three were capable of steering the ship for LA:

For some reason, though, Garnett is now jumping on the Darvin Ham bandwagon. He may have his reservations about Ham's abilities โ€” particularly since the 48-year-old has no prior experience as a head coach โ€” but it is clear that KG is now offering his full support.
