After 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant retired at the end of the 2015-16 NBA season following a 60-point performance against the Utah Jazz. In the next chapter of his life, Bryant has been focusing on building Kobe Inc. and the art of storytelling.

While Bryant has no interest in coaching, he has stayed involved with the game of basketball by working out with players and revealing he will open China's first NBA basketball school. During his time in the country, the five-time champion revealed a hilarious story about one of his daughters at Disneyland according to Andrew McNicol of South China Morning Post:

“It’s me, my wife [Vanessa], my eldest daughter Natalia and our middle child Gianna,” Kobe tells the Post. “And fans throughout the park keep walking by me saying ‘you’re the GOAT, you’re the GOAT!’

“Finally, Gianna turns to one of them and shouts ‘how rude’. I asked her what was wrong, and she says, ‘they keep calling you a goat, that is so rude!’

“Oh baby, I think they mean the Greatest Of All Time,” responded the retired American, before Gianna went on to thank the fan who commended her father’s golden 20 years as a Los Angeles Lakers legend.

While there will be heated debates about who the greatest player of all time is, Bryant is a living legend to his Chinese fans. Following all the individual accomplishments and five championships, the Lakers are set to retire both of Bryant's jersey on Dec. 18 against the Golden State Warriors.

As Bryant is willing to help the Lakers, the storied franchise is looking to take the next step in their rebuilding process. With Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball leading the way, Los Angeles is trying to create the necessary cap space to sign two max contract players like LeBron James and Paul George in free agency.
