During his media session with reporters on Wednesday, Los Angeles Lakers small forward Kyle Kuzma was asked to discuss the Los Angeles Clippers' shocking choke job against the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs.

The Clippers had a 3-1 series lead and all signs pointed toward the Lakers and Clips meeting in the Western Conference Finals.

However, the Nuggets erased their second-straight 3-1 series deficit and bounced the Clippers in Game 7, preventing the all-LA conference finals.

While everyone in the NBA wanted to see the Lakers and Clippers square off in the Western Conference Finals, Kuzma told reporters that the Purple and Gold were never focused on the Clips.

“We’re not focused on the Clippers and we never really were,” Kuzma said. “It’s all about who’s in front of you. When you focus on other teams instead of taking care of your food, sh*t happens like that.”

Clippers guard Patrick Beverley talked smack all season about how his team was better than the Lakers. Now, Kyle Kuzma and the LakeShow are the ones laughing, as they are eight wins away from a title while the Clips are headed home.

In the first two rounds of the playoffs against the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets, Kuzma averaged 11.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 10 games. The talented forward is shooting 45.1 percent from the field, 32.4 percent from beyond the arc and 76.2 percent from the free-throw line.

With the Clippers out, the Lakers are now the favorites to win the 2020 title. Superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are clicking on all cylinders and their supporting cast has been playing really well, too.

However, Kuzma and Co. have to avoid the same mistake as the Clippers. They can't overlook Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets.
