Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma channeled his inner Kobe Bryant by torching the Detroit Pistons for a career-high 41 points, in just three quarters.

Kuzma was too much for the Pistons defense as they were unable to stop him from scoring. He shot an efficient 16-24 from the field and 5-10 from deep.

Kuzma struggled against the Dallas Mavericks a few days ago, when he returned from a back injury. However, he doesn't seem to be bothered by anything in this game, as he just willed his way to the basket throughout three quarters.

The Lakers, who are playing their tenth game without superstar forward LeBron James and veteran guard Rajon Rondo, have been trying to get their young stars carry the offensive load.

But with the recent struggles of former second overall picks Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball, all eyes were on Kuzma to deliver the goods for the Lakers.

Kuz continued his excellent play this year, after having an impressive rookie season. He's currently the second leading scorer for the Lakers with 18.4 points a game. He's also shooting 46.3% from the field, while grabbing 5.8 boards and dishing out 2.5 assists.

Kuzma has seemingly distanced himself from the rest of the Lakers' young talent, and while a lot of fans still see Ingram as a better player, Kuzma's consistency and energy have made him the go-to guy for the Lakers in LeBron's absence.

The Lakers are currently leading the Pistons 113-98, have decided to sit out Kuzma in the fourth period.
