Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma, who has been playing like a veteran in just his first season as a pro, recently offered advice for college players.

Former player Damon Stoudemire took to Twitter to give some advice to players who plan to declare for the NBA Draft, but don't have a very good chance of being drafted. He says that those players need to surround themselves with people who will give them better advice.

The Lakers forward caught wind the tweet, and Kuzma responded that players should have faith and confidence because they never know what could happen.

It was a short yet potent advice. Something that every college player with hoop dreams to play in the NBA should take to heart. Though Kuzma is considered as one of the top rookies today, he was selected nowhere near the top 20 in the 2017 NBA Draft.

In fact, he was selected 27th overall by the Brooklyn Nets and was traded on draft night to the Lakers. Though he performed relatively well during his college days with the University of Utah, earning first-team All-Pac 12 Honors, he was projected to be selected either in the second round or not to be drafted at all.

Yet once he stepped into the NBA, Kuzma immediately proved the critics wrong. Even just during the Summer League, Kuzma's gifts as a scorer were evident. While he may not be the most athletic of the lot, his knowledge of the game has allowed him to attack the defense at its weakest points.

So far, the 22-year-old has been averaging 15.5 points per game, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists. Some have even said that he's way better than his teammate Lonzo Ball, who was picked 2nd overall.

Comparisons aside, Kuzma is certainly the best person to approach when it comes to pursuing your dreams. Not many believed that he has enough talent to make it to the NBA. Yet here he is, living his dreams and living it well.
