During an appearance on ESPN's “WYD” with Ros Gold-Onwude, NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley compared Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James to The King's childhood hero, Michael Jordan.

Barkley reiterated that Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time and that Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is the closest thing he's ever seen to MJ.

However, Sir Charles did admit that LeBron is a better passer and rebounder than Jordan.

LeBron James is the only player in NBA history to rank top-10 all-time in points and assists. The Lakers star passed Michael Jordan on the NBA's all-time scoring list last season and eclipsed Kobe Bryant this campaign before Kobe tragically passed away in January.

Jordan won six titles with the Chicago Bulls in the '90s, going an impressive 6-0 along the way and winning all six Finals MVPs. LeBron, meanwhile, is just 3-6 in the Finals and has been swept twice. His losing Finals record is one of the main reasons most pundits and fans have Jordan over James.

During “The Last Dance” documentary, Charles Barkley admitted that the 1993 NBA Finals was the first time in his life he played against a better basketball player than him. Jordan and the Bulls defeated Barkley and the Phoenix Suns in six games, with the former averaging 41.0 points in the series while shooting 50.8 percent from the field.

LeBron has a good chance of winning title No. 4 this season. The Lakers, who had the best record in the West before the 2019-20 season was suspended, will be among the 22 teams partaking in the “bubble” games at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
