LeBron James took on the trend of most NBA players using their quarantine time to relive their own glory days in high school. The Los Angeles Lakers star has now spent a full week without basketball since the outbreak of the coronavirus put a halt into the 2019-20 season.

Much like Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks, the Lakers forward is enjoying living the good old days of yesteryear, watching his high school team St. Vincent-St. Mary's take on one of its biggest rivals two days before his 18th birthday.

This video below is the one James is watching from his iPad, one that features a 17-year-old King James from warmups to the last whistle of a 67-62 overtime victory over the defending Division I state champions Columbus Brookhaven.

Andrew Lavender, Brookhaven's 5-foot-8 senior point guard, had almost out staged James in this matchup. The name Lavender may not ring familiar to a national audience, but he was one of the best prospects coming out of Ohio back in 2003.

Lavender would go on to play at the University of Oklahoma, even after gassing out in the biggest game of his high school career. The shifty point guard was fouled with 10 seconds left in regulation after stealing the ball from James and being fouled from behind. It was ruled an intentional foul, giving him two shots at the stripe and possession of the ball.

Lavender missed both free throws, giving James and company a chance to win it in overtime.

James finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks, three assists, and three steals while Lavender scored a team-high 26 points with three assists. Not bad for a trip to memory lane.
