After returning from a five-game absence due to a knee injury on Saturday, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James continues his recovery as he works on getting back to 100 percent health.

James suit up for the Lakers against the New York Knicks over the weekend to get them just their second win in six games. He recorded a triple-double of 29 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, showing no signs of rust at all despite enduring a tricky knee issue.

In his media presser on Monday, ahead of their game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, James dropped some key updates on his condition and how he is recovering from the injury. He admitted that his knee was a “total wreck” after he woke up in the morning of their game against the Philadelphia 76ers last January 27, which forced him to sit out the contest and the next four after that.

“Yesterday was round-the-clock treatment and rest–as much rest as I can get. Today will be the same thing. I feel pretty good today,” James said, via Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints. “Looking forward to seeing how I feel tomorrow, and then go from there. I don't think I had a setback. I just want to try to continue to keep the treatment and rehab and things that I've been doing over the last couple weeks to get me back on the floor, so I'm going to continue that over the next 24 hours.”

Based on his play against the Knicks, the knee injury didn't bother LeBron James at all. While the Lakers struggled as a whole for the most part, King James was as still as impactful as he has ever been in his career.

It remains to be seen if the knee ailment will be a problem for LeBron, especially since he still needs treatment and rehab work. However, the Lakers can only be thankful that he is available to play once again.

The Purple and Gold franchise has fallen to ninth in the Western Conference standings with a 26-28 record. They are still in the play-in running (pretty much like last year), but they have a lot of work to do if they want the automatic qualifying spots. The Lakers are 3.5 games behind the Denver Nuggets for the sixth seed as things currently stand.

If they want any chance of turning things around, LeBron is their biggest hope.
