LeBron James can't be happy about getting eliminated this early for the first time of his career. But the Los Angeles Lakers star had to give it up for Devin Booker.

The Phoenix Star stepped up when his team needed him most. Despite holding a 3-2 series lead over the Lakers, nobody was counting out LeBron James coming up large to take Game 6.

But Devin Booker was having none of that. The Suns All-Star finished with 47 points, and immediately torched the Lakers for 22 points and six threes in the opening quarter. That matched his career high in triples for an entire game.

James had nothing but respect for the rising star, speaking out on Booker outperforming him on the biggest stage.

“I love everything about D Book. He continues to make the jump. When you want to be great in this league, you've gotta continue to improve not only your game but you as a man … his maturity is what I'm most impressed about.”

Devin Booker and the Suns are definitely ecstatic to have taken out the defending champion Lakers. But Booker, Chris Paul, and the rest of the Suns have no plans of slowing down.
