Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is in a bit of war of words against footballing legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with the latter recently calling LeBron out for his involvement in the socio-political sphere. Unsurprisingly, UFC fighter and long-time LeBron hater Colby Covington has come out with his own statement once again blasting James for his alleged hypocrisy.

Covington took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the recent controversy surrounding LeBron:

Covington did not mince words in his scathing tirade against the four-time NBA champ. Then again, for those who have some knowledge about the background of this (one-way) feud, this does not come as a surprise at all. Covington has ripped LeBron many times in the past, and this actually comes off as light compared to Covington's other attacks on James.

For what it's worth, James never seems to give Covington the time of day. LeBron has just ignored Covington's tirades, marking him off as yet another one of his many neigh-sayers.

Ibrahimovic's statement, on the other hand, struck a chord with LeBron. Zlatan is widely considered as one of the greatest footballers of his generation and is a far more prominent voice than Covington. As such, the Lakers star decided to address Ibrahimovic's earlier statement, as LeBron explained why he is in disagreement with the AC Milan striker's claims.

As for Covington, though, we're pretty sure LeBron will keep mum again on the UFC fighter's most recent attack.
