The Los Angeles Lakers have dealt with a lot of bumps and bruises early on in the season. It looks like they're finally getting some good news soon as LeBron James is reportedly nearing his return.

According to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, King James could be back in the Lakers lineup as early as Friday against the Boston Celtics.

To say that LeBron James' return is a much-needed shot in the arm for the purple and gold side would be a massive understatement. While the Lakers have found pockets of success sans their frontman, they've looked equally dreary for other stretches.

While up-and-down play without your team's best player isn't supposed to be cause for alarm, the Lakers, as per usual, are held to a different standard. The offseason acquisition of Russell Westbrook was meant to help them withstand sideline stints from LeBron James. But the Brodie and the team as a whole haven't been able to fire off on all cylinders just yet.

With LeBron James joining Talen Horton-Tucker back on the active list, and other supporting cast members such as Trevor Ariza and Kendrick Nunn on the mend, the Lakers are slowly nearing its full arsenal of weapons.
