The Los Angeles Lakers have a couple of intriguing players to watch in the ongoing Las Vegas Summer League. One of these players is Scottie Pippen Jr., the son of Chicago Bulls great Scottie Pippen. The 6'1 guard went undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft, and was quickly snagged by the Lakers on a two-way deal.

Already, Pippen Jr. has shown flashes of good play during the first few days of Summer League. He continued his hot streak from the California Classic, attacking the rim without fear. On one of his drives to the rim, Pippen Jr. stumbled into the baseline crowd. Immediately, his teammate helped him up, along with a future teammate of his. (via NBA)

LeBron James, who was watching the Lakers' Summer League exploits immediately helped up Scottie Pippen Jr. after his fall. That's a nice gesture from the star to help up the rising star of the League.

The Lakers are looking to bounce back from an atrocious 2021 season that saw them miss the playoffs completely. They've taken some solid pieces from the free agency market such as Thomas Bryant and Lonnie Walker. In true Lakeshow fashion, though, they are in the running for one of the biggest fish in the market today: Kyrie Irving.

Rumors of a potential reunion for LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have circulated ever since the star requested a trade from the Nets. That has raised a lot of questions for this squad, especially about Russell Westbrook (who was also in attendance). We will keep you updated on the latest developments from this front.
