The NBA offseason is right around the corner as the Finals are nearly complete. Teams around the league will be making moves to improve their rosters for the next season. And with that in mind, the rumor mill is red hot for the Utah Jazz right now.

There's a buzz swirling that the Jazz could potentially trade both Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton this offseason, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. Additionally, Utah could be in the mix to trade some picks for the 2024 NBA Draft as well.

“Utah has a surplus of draft picks in this class that rival executives believe are readily available on the trade market as the Jazz attempt to upgrade the roster. There's also a belief from rival executives who spoke with HoopsHype that guards Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson could become available on the trade market.”

Considering the Jazz failed to make the playoffs this season it makes sense for the front office to switch things up. Although these are just rumors, it's not hard to believe Utah is seeking some sort of trade. What they want in return is unknown. But making a move for a young veteran to build around Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George would be smart.

Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton should fetch some interest in teams around the league. Especially if the Jazz include some draft capital with them. This season Clarkson averaged 17.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. Meanwhile, Sexton averaged 18.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. Both players would make excellent additions to most teams in the NBA.

Utah needs to make some changes if they hope to compete for a playoff spot next year. Although they have some talent on the roster it just wasn't enough to really challenge many teams in the league. The roster is missing a true superstar talent and that might be what the Jazz are looking for this offseason.

They could make a splash in free agency. But making a trade makes a ton of sense. Especially if they can package both Clarkson and Sexton together with some draft picks. That's enough to interest plenty of teams in search of necessary depth and youth. Additionally, it'd be a brilliant trade for the Jazz as they'd finally get a star player and still have some talent around him. At the very least, it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
