Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball and brothers LaMelo and LiAngelo have appeared in artist Childish Gambino’s latest video for “Feels Like Summer”. The featured video also includes animated appearances by Michelle Obama, deceased celebrities and iconic rappers. The Ball brothers feature at the 2.55 minute mark.

During the clip, the Ball brothers appear near rapper Young Thug wearing the Lakers’ colors of purple and gold. It’s a nice cameo for the trio, who have been constantly linked with the franchise since eldest brother Lonzo burst onto the scene during his playing time at UCLA.

The Lakers selected Lonzo Ball with the second overall pick in last summer’s NBA draft, and the 20-year-old underwent an up and down season for the historical organization. The young point guard showed flashes of the brilliance we became accustomed to during his college career, but struggled with his unorthodox jump-shot and physicality of the league.

Despite this, Lonzo’ numbers remained solid for a rookie, as he averaged 10.2 points per game, 6.9 rebounds per game and 7.2 assists per game and showcased the supreme court vision that transformed him into one of the more promising prospects in the nation.

As for LiAngelo, the 19-year-old finds himself without an NBA home as he went undrafted in this summer’s NBA draft. LiAngelo recently played professionally in Lithuania and the JBA, however the lack of genuine competition overseas as well as underwhelming during pre-draft workouts with NBA teams saw the shooting guard not selected by any organization on the evening.

Lastly, the youngest Ball brother LaMelo has undeniable potential. At just 17 years of age, LaMelo remains on the radar of numerous NBA teams as he continues to develop. He currently plays alongside his brother for the Los Angeles Balls in the JBA, and impressed during the season en route to the 2018 JBA Championship.

All three brothers find themselves at different stages in their playing career, but will surely continue to link up in the media as they do in Childish Gambino’s video.
