Lonzo Ball will sit out yet again for tomorrow's game against the Orlando Magic, still nursing a sprained MCL, according to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times. This will mark the eighth straight game he's missed with the injury.

The rookie point man has yet to go through a full practice, but could make his return at some point during the Lakers' current five-game road trip, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk.

“He's feeling better every day,” Los Angeles Lakers coach Luke Walton said last week. “I wouldn't be surprised if within a couple of days, a week, whatever it is, they say he's ready to start practicing again.”

After starting 0-7 without Ball in the lineup, the Lakers are 4-3 without him this time around, thanks to some dynamic performances by Jordan Clarkson, who has averaged 24 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in the last five games — increasing his trade value as the trade deadline nears.

The Lakers have been shopping Clarkson to potential suitors, yet nothing has concretized yet thus far.

Los Angeles has put together a successful stretch this season, winning eight of its last 11 games and pulling off four-game win streaks in the process. At 19-30 for the season, the team now sits only seven wins away from tying last season's win total with 33 games still remaining on the regular season schedule.

The organization is expected to make a strong run for LeBron James during free agency, keeping Ball's dynamic passing ability as one of the main attractions to lure the three-time champion to LaLa Land.
