Los Angeles Lakers starting point guard Lonzo Ball tweaked his ankle in Friday's practice and did not finish the session, according to head coach Luke Walton.

The Lakers take on the Sacramento Kings Saturday night at Golden 1 Center.

In 11 games this season, Lonzo Ball is averaging 9.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 44.0 percent from the field, 38.8 percent from beyond the arc and 54.5 percent from the field. He has started nine games.

If Ball is unable to play versus the Kings, Rajon Rondo will start in his place. The veteran point guard started the first two games of the season.

Rondo is averaging 10.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game and shooting 52.1 percent from the floor, 50.0 percent from the 3-point line and 75.0 percent from the charity stripe.

The Lakers are 5-6 on the season. They have the second-worst defense in the NBA. Los Angeles is giving up a whopping 119.1 points per game. The addition of center Tyson Chandler should help in that area, and the veteran made an impact in his debut with the team.

Lonzo Ball only scored three points in the Lakers' previous game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The former No. 2 overall pick did dish out six assists and grab five rebounds. Ball has scored in double-figures in six games to start the year.
