The Los Angeles Lakers have won their second straight game after beating the Washington Wizards 124-106, and one of the most impressive players on the team as of late is big man JaVale McGee, who has been playing really well as of late. He finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

After the game, ClutchPoints' Ryan Ward was able to catch up with head coach Luke Walton, who has been very impressed with the way McGee has been playing over the last couple of games.

“JaVale has been playing w/ a lot of energy right now. Reminding me of how he was to start the season. He's up above. Grabbing rebs where no one else can get. Keeping balls alive for us. Diving to the rim. All those good things.”

The Lakers will not be making the playoffs this season, but most of their players are still giving their best efforts to help the team win. McGee, who signed a one-year deal with the purple and gold last summer, is most likely doing his best to earn a bigger paycheck next season.

McGee has scored at least 15 points and grabbed at least 13 boards over the last three games. The Lakers are 1-2 during that stretch.

It will be interesting to see whether or not JaVale will be back with the Lakers next season, but no matter what happens, he will be able to contribute to any team who will decide to sign him.
