ESPN's Mike Greenberg argued LeBron James will have a lot of ammunition to unload on the NBA after receiving zero votes in a recent executive survey for “best player” in the game.

The host of “Get Up” argued that James had been disrespected and would unleash chaos upon the league to prove he's still the most dominant force in the NBA.

“Not one of the 20 geniuses surveyed picked LeBron James,” said Greenberg. “Here are the answers they did give: Kawhi Leonard was voted the best player in the league with 12 votes, the reigning regular-season MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo finished second in the survey with six, and James Harden was the only other player to get any other votes at all (two).

“Gentlemen it is my contention that LeBron James is getting ready to go medieval on the NBA. He has sat back for the last several months and heard his name slandered, which I think this [survey] constitutes in a way that is unimaginable to me … I think LeBron is gonna come back on a scorched-earth tour, all this Taco Tuesday stuff is fun … I love jovial LeBron, but I think we're getting angry, motivated, well-rested LeBron, and he may very well, despite his age, have as good a year as he's ever had.”

While this could be a cause of a reduced sample size (only 20 votes in total), James has always been at the very least in the conversation for the title of best player in the league. He was in last year's survey, as he was 10 years ago as he started to build into his prime.

This could be a cause of NBA execs being prisoners of the moment, like any other fan, choosing the MVP winner and the runner-up in Antetokounmpo and Harden, as well as the Finals MVP in Leonard.

James has a bigger body of work than any of the three aforementioned players and could soon stake his claim at the crown once again as the regular season approaches.
