The Los Angeles Lakers have struggled mightily this season and are about to miss the playoffs for the sixth straight year.

A lot of people put the blame on LeBron James' shoulders, with most of them saying that he failed as a leader. The four-time MVP still gets his usual numbers, but he often shows frustrations on the court whenever his teammates fail to make the right play.

Former NBA player Stephen Jackson recently appeared in FOX Sports' Undisputed, and he said if LeBron wanted to, he would have led the Lakers to the playoffs.

It is true that LeBron James is one of the strongest guys in the league. He's usually unstoppable on offense once he puts his mind into it, which is the reason why a lot of people questioned him this year. For some reason, he has no sense of urgency, he lacks effort and he doesn't seem to be too focused on games the Lakers could have won.

There's no denying that LeBron is one of the greatest players of all-time, but one of the biggest criticisms he has received in his career — as noted by Stephen Jackson — is the lack of killer mentality, and that is on full display this season with the Purple and Gold.

A lot of speculations out there are saying that it's because of his off-court projects, especially Space Jam 2, which is expected to film this summer. Others believe that his teammates no longer trust him after the leaked Anthony Davis trade rumors that were reportedly demanded by his camp.

Regardless, LeBron has three more seasons to prove himself to the Lakers and its fans. Should he fail to win a title in Los Angeles, his move there will be considered a major disappointment.
