LaVar Ball's time in the spotlight has come to a close, but that didn't stop FOX Sports' Undisputed from bringing the father of Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball on Tuesday's episode of the show.

Discussing rumors that Kyrie Irving may consider signing with the Lakers this summer, Ball, who evidently has no inside knowledge of the matters at hand, insisted the All-Star point guard wouldn't be playing in Southern California going forward due to his relationship with LeBron James.

Irving, of course, teamed with James on the Cleveland Cavaliers for four seasons, advancing to the NBA Finals each of those years and winning the 2016 NBA title in legendary fashion over the 73-9 Golden State Warriors. He requested a trade after the 2017 season, though, in part due to his growing discontent playing little brother to James, and was ultimately dealt to the Boston Celtics in August of 2017.

The six-time All-Star said before this season that he intended to re-sign with the Celtics in free agency, but Boston's underwhelming performance throughout 2018-19 – and the pervasive chemistry issues that prompted it – seemed to erode his confidence in that assertion. Irving walked back the comments in February, and has made it clear since the Celtics were eliminated from the playoffs by the Milwaukee Bucks that all options will be on the table this summer. He even publicly lamented his decision to end his partnership with James, too, fueling speculation they could play together again at some point going forward.

There have been multiple reports recently that Irving is seriously considering signing with the Lakers, who hope to add a max-level player in free agency this summer while continuing to pursue New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis via trade.
