During the second quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers and Detroit Pistons game, point guard Lonzo Ball made this amazing play.

He crossed over two defenders and made a layup that wowed the entire Lakers bench, including superstar LeBron James.

As of this writing, the Lakers currently lead the Pistons 72-64 with less than six minutes in the third period. Ball has five points, nine boards, and five assists.

In a stretch that saw the Lakers lose seven of their last nine games, fans have put a lot of blame on the Lakers' young core, particularly Ball for his lack of aggressiveness and inconsistent play.

However, James has been constantly showing support for the team's up and comers, despite their not-so-impressive season so far.

LeBron hasn't played for the Lakers since injuring his groin in the third quarter of the Lakers' road victory against the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day. Los Angeles is also without veteran point guard Rajon Rondo.

The Lakers are currently eighth in the Western Conference standings with a 22-19 record and are trying to stay in the playoff race.

Meanwhile the Pistons currently on a two-game losing streak and are placed ninth in the Eastern Conference with 17 wins and 21 losses.
