It was a whirlwind day for Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball amidst the distractions involving his brother's shoplifting allegations. While the family was dealing with the situation in China, Ball was trying to stay focused on the task at hand versus Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics.

Although the Lakers managed to stay within striking distance for a majority of the game, the Celtics ultimately walked away with a 107-96 victory. However, there were a few positive moments to take away from the loss, including Ball's chasedown block on Irving.

Unfortunately, that would be the only battle Ball or any other Laker would win over the four-time All-Star. The former UCLA product's shooting woes continued as he recorded just nine points, hitting just four of his 15 field goal attempts. However, he did manage to salvage his night on the defensive end with four blocks and a steal.

Meanwhile, Irving eventually found his groove with 19 points, albeit on seven of 21 shooting. He also recorded five assists, six rebounds and a steal in the contest. Most importantly, he got his revenge on the entire Lakers squad several times along the way en route to a league-best 10-2 start to the 2017-18 NBA season.
