Los Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo has found himself a side gig. The veteran playmaker inserted himself in the Lakers coaches' huddle during a timeout against the Miami Heat Sunday night.

Rondo is deemed by peers and fans alike as one of the most brilliant minds in basketball. He probably wanted to see what it was like being a coach, which is why he went into the huddle and offered some advice to head coach Luke Walton and to the assistants.

With how he's built mentally, Rajon Rondo is a top bet as someone who would probably end up being a head coach in the NBA after his playing career. He's been to numerous postseason battles and won a championship in 2008. He has played with equally-cerebral players, most notably his current teammate in LeBron James.

The Lakers will severely miss his presence as the guiding voice of their second unit. In eleven games so far this season, Rondo holds averages of 8.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in only 25 minutes of playing time.

With adept passers in James and Lonzo Ball, the Lakers are confident that the playmaking responsibilities left behind by Rondo will be adequately handled by these two maestros until he returns from injury.
