League of Legends Worlds 2021 Championship will have a LAN event. For the venue, it's going to be in Shenzhen, China.

Riot Games confirms LAN LOL Worlds 2021 Championship on November 6, 2021

The Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre will be playing host for the League of Legends Worlds 2021 Championship. The world's largest League of Legends tournament will be held on-site as a LAN event on November 6, 2021. 24 of the top teams around the world will compete in League‘s most prestigious competition.

The 60,000+ seating capacity of the Universiade Sports Centre will welcome the return of audiences in Worlds. Last year's tournament also played on LAN but had no indoor audiences. Korea's DAMWON Gaming (now DWG Kia) won last year's top prize, taking home $556,250. For this year, the starting prize for the tournament begins at $2.225 million.

Since China's turn to host Worlds last year didn't have an audience, Riot Games awarded China this year's hosting again. Meanwhile, North America will be hosting Worlds 2022.

Currently, League of Legends‘s Mid-Season Invitational 2021 pits League‘s teams in a mid-season tournament. This serves as a sort of pit stop to the road to Worlds 2021, with a base prize pool of $250,000. So far, DWG Kia still shows some edge over their opponents, beating Cloud9 on the opening day of the tournament. DWG Kia's Khan has been named as the Group Stage MVP for that day. The group stages will play out until May 11th, with the Playoffs starting on May 21st.

Meanwhile, LOL Esports also recently announced that an international tournament will take place this year for LOL Wild Rift. Details for this tournament are yet to follow. If it pushes through, it will be Wild Rift‘s version of Worlds.
