The NBA has fined Orlando Magic swingman Terrence Ross $25,000 for throwing the game ball into the spectator stands.

Terrence Ross threw the ball into the stands on Wednesday at the end of Orlando’s 122-120 overtime loss to the Phoenix Suns at home.

Atlanta Hawks small forward Kent Bazemore got fined $10,000 for doing the same thing against the Brooklyn Nets a few weeks ago. Boston Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving was fined $25,000 for throwing the ball deep into the stands versus the Denver Nuggets after he got mad at Nuggets guard Jamal Murray.

Sometimes, it's hard for NBA players to control their emotions, especially when they lose a hard fought game. Terrence Ross and the Magic lost by two points to the Suns. Ross finished with 18 points while shooting 6-of-14 from the field in 36 minutes of action. With the loss, Orlando dropped to 14-19 on the season and 8-11 at home.

Terrence Ross is in the final year of his contract with the Magic. The high-flyer is making $10.5 million this season and will become an unrestricted free agent after the season ends.

Ross is averaging 13.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game for the Magic and shooting 43.6 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from beyond the arc and 82.0 percent from the free-throw line.
