Following his workout with the Philadelphia 76ers, a sought-after Washington freshman Markelle Fultz was optimistic about his potential of becoming part of “The Process” and joining the arsenal of young talent president Bryan Colangelo and company have put together during the last few years.

The Sixers recently gave up a galore of picks in a trade with the Boston Celtics for the rights to the No. 1 overall selection in this year's draft, surrendering their third overall pick this year and a consequent 2018 first-round pick, along with a protected 2019 first-round pick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

“I think it'd be great to get up-and-down. They're big on defense, so I think the tools I have to be a defensive player, I think that would help them get out in transition. I'm a pretty good shot-blocker for a point guard so I think helping them with that,” Fultz said in his post-workout media availability.

Upon seeing a welcoming committee's worth of Sixers players, the 19-year-old scoring machine described the team as “crazy” — joining in with the likes of Robert Covington, Ben Simmons, and Joel Embiid, who thought that if the Sixers indeed drafted Fultz, it would be legen… (wait for it…) …dary.

Now that both parties are waiting to let the ink dry, it won't be long before the 6-foot-4 point guard joins a talent-stacked group in the City of Brotherly Love — a team that can start making some waves if their youth moves in the right direction.

After finishing sixth in the nation in scoring with a 23.3 points-per-game clip, Fultz averaged 5.9 assists, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game — shooting a blazing 41.3 percent from beyond the arc.
