For years, Marvel has quietly set aside its properties that were shown exclusively on Netflix. While Earth's Mightiest Heroes teamed up with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man to defeat Thanos, the likes of Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist were nowhere to be found. But after spending a lot of time on the bench, it seems that the upcoming Echo series on Disney+ will slowly integrate key pieces back into the fold.

In a report by Hollywood Reporter, the rumors of Charlie Cox's Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin making their return are confirmed as the pair have begun shooting their scenes for Echo in Atlanta. As shown last year, Echo, played by Alaqua Cox, broke out of Marvel's Hawkeye series as one of its more surprising characters. The deaf assassin traces her roots back in the comics where she began as an adopted daughter of Kingpin and an initial antagonist for Daredevil before becoming his ally against crime.

Daredevil ran for three seasons on Netflix with the Man Without Fear facing off against Kingpin in one of Marvel's most popular rivalries. But as it appears, it isn't just Cox and D'Onofrio who are set to make their MCU comeback via Echo. Jessica Jones has also been reportedly included in the list of Netflix characters making their way back.

The same report also mentions The Weekly Planet's podcast and how it reported that Matt Murdock will be seeking Jessica Jones out in Echo. This will put two Defenders right into the MCU with Luke Cage and Danny Rand the only characters from the Netflix show left.

Introduced in the recent Hawkeye series, Echo picks up from the last time fans saw Maya Lopez with the former Kingpin protege turning on the crime boss. From this detail alone, it seems that the overall direction of the show would be grounded and far from the cosmic adventures everyone is familiar with, much like with Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy. In any case, the hype for this upcoming Marvel show would soon grow big, especially with the confirmation of Daredevil and Kingpin reuniting once again.
