Dallas Mavericks “superfan” Don Knobler was seen at the team's nationally televised matchup with visiting Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night, one year removed from his season suspension after cursing at Clippers guard Patrick Beverley.

Per ESPN's Tim MacMahon, Knobler was seen walking around the building with the Clippers in town just after last season's ejection and ban from the American Airlines Center, the Mavericks' home arena.

Beverley, 31, the pesky perimeter defender, was ejected from a December 2018 game last season, which also sparked a verbal exchange with Knobler. Reportedly, the Mavs fan shouted “fuck your mother” at the Clippers point guard, who re-signed with the L.A. franchise to a three-year deal this past offseason.

Beverley was livid about the exchange last season, telling MacMahon he couldn't accept Knobler's cursing.

“I told the referee, I told the security,” Beverley said to reporters after the game. “I mean, I've never gotten ejected out of a game since I've been in the NBA. You know, I play hard, I play within the lines, of course. I play within the rules, of course. I've never been ejected in my career in the NBA, but I'm a grown man. I have morals. Of course, God is first, family is second for me, and I stand firmly behind that.

“I just, I can accept the ‘F— you, Beverley,' the ‘F— you, Pat,' but out of the lines of my mother, anybody who knows me, man, knows I'm a family-first guy, and there's some things that are unacceptable. After I told the refs, I told security, the Dallas security, told both of them and again, he said it again. So if no one is going to control fans, what are we supposed to do as players?”

Knobler, however, denied using curses against the Clippers guard. Eventually, he was banned from Mavs games for the remainder of the season. Nevertheless, the superfan is back in the building while Beverley and the Clippers are in town.
