Dallas Mavericks fans collectedly gasped when Kristaps Porzingis suffered a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee in the 2020 playoffs. However, in a rather positive update for the Mavs, the Latvian big man was spotted putting up some shots in the gym.

Porzingis, who underwent surgery last October, didn't go full throttle in his workout video. However, he did note that he “felt good” to be back on the court.

Porzingis will miss the start of the upcoming 2020-21 NBA season for the Mavs. There's no specific date for his return just yet, but in a recent interview posted on MLG Highlights, the 25-year-old shared what his rehab process been like. He also maintains an optimistic mindset that he'll be back and healthy in no time:

“I’m doing pretty good, rehabbing like six days a week and I’m just focused on the rehab pretty much. I’m in a good place and just putting in the work necessary to be back on the court as soon as possible,” the Mavs forward said, as transcribed by Essentially Sports.

“We’re just taking it easy we’re taking our time and I’m pretty much there. I can’t wait to start doing more stuff. I’m in good hands and I know I have great people around me to make sure that they let me on the court whenever they think I’m ready to be on the court.”

This is the second leg injury Kristaps Porzingis has suffered over the last two years. In 2018 while with the New York Knicks, he tore his ACL on his left knee.
