The prices of sports cards these days are indeed deserving of our awe. Who would’ve thought that rookie cards of the biggest athletes in the world — like Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Kobe Bryant, etc. — would fetch millions of dollars these days, as opposed to where they were price-wise a couple of years ago?

This clip from Shop At Home’s Sports Collectibles show hosted by Don West displayed an impressive array of cards that would make any investor’s jaw drop. West proudly displays, in his own words, 10 perfect gem mint 10s of the most well-known athletes of the '90s. These include Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Ken Griffey Jr., and Michael Jordan, among others.
The craziest thing about this sale is that West proclaims these cards are discounted from $999 to $299.95. Considering how high valuable sports cards go these days, the price offered is definitely a massive steal.
Just consider Jordan’s 1992 All-Star Game Jersey Patch Autographed card being auctioned recently by Goldin Auctions, which has reached $1.6 million. When said auction ends in the coming weeks, it is expected to be the most expensive Michael Jordan card ever sold.
Furthermore, a LeBron James rookie card just sold for over $5 million, a new NBA record.
While a time machine is definitely out of the conversation, you can still hit it big in the long run by being vigilant with those hidden gems. Keep an eye on those players and their cards that have a huge potential to grow in the coming years. Doing so will help you hit a monster banger of a card and set you up for an insane cash fall.
