The highest rating in NBA 2K19 is 99 and that has been saved for only one guy this year, former Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan.

The popular game is bringing back the greatest teams of all times again this year, and Jordan gets that rating with the 1995-96 Bulls team. With the Bulls in 95-96, Jordan averaged 30.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. Jordan shot 49.5 percent from the field and 42.7 percent from deep.

It's really not a surprise that Jordan is the only player at 99, although some did feel that LeBron James who comes in with a rating of 98, should have his number bumped up one.

Jordan is at worst the second best NBA player ever, and his former coach Roy Williams thinks a big reason that he was able to accomplish what he did was because of his work ethic. Via Newsweek:

“Michael was just an unbelievable athlete with tremendous potential, and he put it all together with tremendous work ethic and competitiveness every single day. So he got better every single day, and I think that drove him even more. He saw what he was able to do, and I think that made him even more competitive. I think that’s what set him apart for the rest of his career.”

Williams also said that Jordan was able to teach him a lot during their time together with the North Carolina Tar Heels.

The power of competitiveness. He was the only guy I’ve ever known who could turn it on and off, and he never turned if off—regardless of how small a detail it was, regardless of how inconsequential something might be, and regardless of how little the drill may be in practice, he competed in everything he ever did. That positive thinking and toughness is something that I pull from all the time coaching my team now.
