The Portland Trail Blazers have had their share of postseason defeats since they joined the league in 1970. In the past couple of years, Damian Lillard and the Blazers were repeatedly swept in the first round. And you know who the culprit was? Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry.

Redditor freshcharity pointed out this interesting fact.

The Blazers have lost 10 straight playoff games since Curry scored 17 points in overtime against them in his return from an MCL sprain in game 4 in 2016 including getting swept by the Warriors in the 2017 playoffs with KD missing half of the series, and getting swept again in the first round the following year with homecourt advantage. During that same time the Warriors have won 3 championships in 4 years. The Blazers have won 2 playoff series total in the last 18 years. The Warriors have won 3 championships in the last 4 years.”

With concerns back then that Curry's injury will take a longer recovery time, the two-time MVP returned in Game 4 of that year's Western Conference Semifinals series against the Blazers. Stephen Curry would score 40 points in that game, in which his famous “I'm back” statement after shooting a three-pointer became historic.

In the last postseason, the Blazers were poised to breeze through a New Orleans Pelicans team without do-it-all center DeMarcus Cousins. But Anthony Davis had other plans in mind as the Pelicans pulled off a shocking upset, sweeping the Blazers out of the playoffs.

With last year's roster almost intact coming into the 2018-19 season, the Blazers will again test the depths of the Lillard-C.J. McCollum backcourt partnership. But with the Western Conference getting even stronger this year, maybe it's time for the Blazers to shake up the roster.
