The 16 teams that made it to the 2018 NBA Playoffs will soon debut a new “Earned Edition” uniform from Nike, according to an official report from the sports apparel company.

Select teams will don their new uniforms as a part of the NBA’s annual Christmas Day lineup of games, which includes several interesting match-ups (Lakers-Warriors, Sixers-Celtics and Thunder-Rockets). The other eligible teams will begin wearing their new kits shortly after.

The Nike NBA Earned Edition uniforms will be available December 19 in limited quantities on nike.com and store.nba.com as well as at team retailers and select retail partners.

The new looks, which are variations of each team’s Statement or City Edition uniforms, aim to supply fans with a tangible claim to both their team’s heritage and current success streak.

Nike's Earned Edition uniforms are flashy, but they also pay homage to the cities they represent. For instance, the Pacers' jersey, which features the phrase “Always Lead” above the jock tag, honors Indiana's rich racing heritage. Miami's variant comes in a neon pink hue, which is meant to recognize the city's vibrant nightlife. Minnesota's uniform, accented in purple, is a tribute to music legend Prince.
