Stephen Jackson is letting the world know that there is a documentary about the infamous Malice at the Palace. He confirmed this to theScore's  Joseph Casciaro on the “Pound The Rock” podcast.

“There's a lot of stuff that went on that people don't know,” Stephen Jackson said. “There's so much to the story … we can walk people through everything.”

Jackson was one of the central figures of the brawl which also involved former Indiana Pacer players Metta World Peace (then known as Ron Artest) and Jermaine O'Neal. Near the end of their game against the Detroit Pistons, tempers flared which eventually led to a massive brawl that spilled onto the fan's section.

The fallout of the incident resulted to a combined 131 game suspension for the three Pacer players which essentially ended any title hopes for their very talented team. At that time, they still had Pacer legend and Hall of Famer Reggie Miller who retired at the end of that season.

It all sounds very interesting but the NBA will still have to approve of all the needed licensed footage to produce such a documentary. The NBA has worked hard to ultimately put this incident behind them.

The repercussions of that incident can still be noticed in today's NBA. The league has implemented increased security measures in arenas and alcohol rules that limit purchases to two per fan. Additionally, venues now stop selling alcohol after the third quarter.

If this does indeed get done – considering the personalities that would be involved – this would surely be worth the wait.
