The Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers will face off in a highly-touted Eastern Conference matchup on Friday night. It’s time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Hawks-76ers prediction and pick.

Atlanta has lost two games in a row and hasn't surpassed 86 points scored in either. They are dealing with a plethora of injuries right now and are just looking to stay afloat until their guys return. Philadelphia has won two straight games including a 44-point victory against this same Hawks team on Wednesday night.

Here’s how sportsbooks have set the opening Hawks-76ers odds.

NBA Odds: Hawks-76ers Odds

Atlanta Hawks +10 (-115)

Philadelphia 76ers -10 (-105)

Over 222 Points (-110)

Under 222 Points (-110)

Why The Hawks Could Cover The Spread

The Atlanta Hawks are preparing for a playoff run as they're 34-29 on the season and essentially locked in at either the four or five seed in the east. The biggest goal for this team isn't to win every game down the stretch, though. The Hawks currently have all of their top guns on the injury list and will hope to get back to full strength within the next couple of weeks. Following a 44-point loss against this same 76ers group, Atlanta will just look to improve in this game.

Atlanta shot just 33% from the floor in the loss without their star guard Trae Young on the floor. Young currently carries a questionable tag into this one and it would be surprising if he gets on the court. The Hawks will also have to cut the turnovers down as they gave up the rock 15 times in their last loss against Philadelphia. This is uncharacteristic for this group and you know that'll improve when their primary ball-handler returns to the court. Atlanta is 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against the 76ers and will look to get back on track despite all of the injuries.

Why The 76ers Could Cover The Spread

The Philadelphia 76ers are clicking on all cylinders at the perfect time with the playoffs just around the corner. The 76ers are in a neck-and-neck race with the Brooklyn Nets for the top spot in the Eastern Conference and will do everything that they can to secure that home court advantage throughout the postseason. The Wells Fargo Center has treated Philadelphia quite nicely as they are 24-7 at home this season. Following a 44-point win against this same Hawks team just two nights ago, you know Philly will be champing at the bit to pull off another large victory.

Ben Simmons has been a pleasant surprise for this group of late as he definitely had some struggles earlier this season. He and Joel Embiid are one of the deadliest duo's in the league when they are both right and we all know what Embiid has done this season. Philadelphia now has a clean slate with an empty injury report and has all of the tools to make a deep run into the postseason this year. The 76ers have shot at an extremely high clip on their home court and have a solid track record against Atlanta, going 4-1 ATS in their last five head-to-head matchup's at the Wells Fargo Center.

Final Hawks-76ers Prediction & Pick

The Atlanta Hawks are not as bad as this 10-point spread depicts when they are at full strength. The Hawks are loaded with young talent, but just don't have enough healthy talent to compete with the 76ers at home in this game. Philadelphia is extremely efficient on their home floor and still has all of the motivation in the world to take care of business against a depleted group. Atlanta hasn't scored more than 86 points in each of their last two games and there isn't much reason to believe that they'll be significantly better tonight.

FINAL PICK: Philadelphia 76ers -10 (-105)
