After losing LeBron James and having already been without Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers could be looking to make multiple moves at the trade deadline as they try to tread water and wait for the two superstars to return. Multiple names have been thrown about already, and now ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is throwing Kyle Lowry's name into the mix.

This is an intriguing name to be rumored for the Lakers on a couple of different fronts. First, when LeBron is back he basically acts as a point guard, and they have Dennis Schroder as well. But if Kyle Lowry can be had at the right price, why not go for it?

That's the part of this that doesn't add up: what exactly do the Lakers have that they are willing to part with to add Lowry? Toronto isn't going to let him go for next to nothing. Los Angeles got rid of most its valuable draft capital in the Davis trade (2027 first can be dealt), and Lowry's salary of over $30 million plus a hard cap means a lot of salary has to go out. Schroder could be on the table in a deal like this, with guys like Kentavious Caldwell Pope and Montrezl Harrell also possible trade chips.

Aside from the Lakers, the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers are the other strongest suitors for Lowry. This could go down to the wire:

Because of the injuries to LeBron and Davis and the uncertainty of when either will be back, the Lakers have multiple different routes they could go before the trade deadline expires on Thursday. Don't be surprised if they land a couple of different trades in a flurry of moves in an attempt to solidify the roster as they pursue back-to-back championships.
