The Washington Wizards reportedly don't have much interest in acquiring Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson, according to David Aldridge of The Athletic.

Thompson is looking to get traded by the Cavs.

At one point this season, Thompson was interested in signing an extension with the Cavs. That has changed, however, and Thompson's camp would like him to be traded by the deadline. People close to Thompson are calling a trade a “priority.”

Thompson is in the final season of a five-year, $82 million contract he signed as a restricted free agent in 2015. Any team acquiring Thompson would also get his Bird Rights.

Earlier on Monday, it was reported that the Wizards are interested in trading for Thompson. Nonetheless, that has clearly changed now. Besides the Capital City team, the likes of the Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors were rumored to be looking at a possible trade for the longtime Cavs big man.

Thompson came into Tuesday averaging 11.9 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 50.8 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 63.8 percent from the free-throw line.

It remains to be seen if Thompson will be with the Cavs when the trade deadline passes, but it sure looks like the team will be eager to make some moves and roster changes.
