Prior to the release of his long-awaited, several-times-delayed tenth studio album “Donda,” rapper Kanye West reportedly reached out to Nets superstar Kevin Durant for his opinion on the album while it was in production, according to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

Durant told West what he “liked and didn't like,” per Reynolds.

While at the Olympics earlier in the summer, Durant spoke of the album, stating that West was “a master at his craft.”

Whether West took any of Durant's advice to heart remains to be seen, but the Nets All-Star has been known to be a fan and student of hip-hop. He's spoken at length about his favorite rappers in the game, at one point listing his top five on Hot 97's “Ebro in the Morning”: Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Young Thug and Gunna. He also mentioned Jay-Z, placing him on the “Mt. Rushmore of rap.”

West's latest album has some NBA flavor sprinkled on it, most notably on the track “Junya,” in which West raps:

“Let me be honest, I run with the Bucks boy, lemme Giannis.”

Donda dropped early Sunday morning. It's safe to assume figures from around the pro-sports community will begin sharing their thoughts on it in the coming days, if they haven't already been given a preview of it like Durant.
