In his last two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, guard Sean Kilpatrick has established himself as a proven scorer in the league.

During a recent interview with Slam Magazine, Kilpatrick revealed that he has been working out with Golden State Warriors star forward Kevin Durant and former NBA great Steve Nash this offseason.

It’s been great, having Kevin Durant as one of my mentors. It makes the process that much more enjoyable, just being able to pick his and Steve Nash’s brains. For someone who was one of the best point guards in the game, it speaks a lot to the type of culture basketball creates. It also says a lot about Kevin Durant because everyday, he’s making sure he’s working with the greats. You can always figure out ways to help improve your game [when you’re] with him.

The 27-year-old has made a strong decision to work with two of the top players that the league has seen. Durant has developed into an elite scorer that is coming off his most efficient season where he helped lead the Warriors to an NBA title while earning the 2017 NBA Finals MVP.

There is much that he can take away from Durant to become a more effective scorer both on and off the ball. Meanwhile, Nash was one of the brightest minds in the league during his heyday which was an important part of helping him become an elite point guard. The opportunity to pick the brain a potential future Hall of Famer is something that could help refine Kilpatrick's individual game.

It will be interesting to see if these workouts will help him show improvement next season.
