Damian Lillard is widely considered as one of the top players in the NBA today. However, if you ask the Portland Trail Blazers point guard, he'll be quick to admit that he does not consider himself to be the very best. For Lillard, this title solely belongs to Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant.

In a recent appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, Lillard expressed how he believes KD is totally unguardable — the one reason that makes him the NBA's top dog right now:

“I think KD (Durant) healthy could very well be the best player in the NBA,” Lillard said, via Peter Dewey of AHN Fire Digital. “I mean nobody can guard him. If he’s healthy, he’s shooting threes off the dribble, pulling up off the dribble, posting up. He can get to the rim. You can’t block his shot. The way he handles the ball and moves at that size, who are you going to put on him? When healthy, I think at this moment, he could very well be the best player in the league.”

Lillard is as competitive as they come and he has been involved in his fair share of smack talk against some of the biggest stars in the league. Nevertheless, he has taken more of a humble approach here as he discussed just how outstanding Kevin Durant is as a player.

The Nets superstar has pretty much done it all in the league, and KD has nothing more to prove at this point. The fact that he came back from a career-threatening Achilles injury only to re-establish himself as one of, if not the most dominant player in the NBA today speaks volumes of Kevin Durant's greatness. Clearly, Dame believes this to be true.
