Things got chippy towards the end of the Eastern Conference clash between the Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets. All-Stars Kevin Durant and Trae Young got into a serious exchange with just over two minutes left in the game.

Check out the heated scene below:

Trae Young clearly took exception to Kevin Durant giving him some extra love on their in-game collision as the Nets star stayed over him even after the foul was called. The Hawks guard pushed back, literally, as the two got to chirping. They were both assessed technical fouls.

Kevin Durant had been all over Trae throughout the contest with their dust-up being the tipping point as tempers flared.

There was clearly some playoff intensity in the Nets-Hawks, especially as a nationally televised game. Perhaps Trae was feeling a bit frustrated after getting rejected by Durant just a play prior.

Kevin Durant and the Nets eventually took the win, 113-105, in a game that remained close all throughout. Both KD and Trae Young finished with 31 points while co-stars James Harden and John Collins piled on an identical 20-piece as well.

With the loss the Hawks drop back down to 13-13, tied with the Boston Celtics for the 9th seed in the East. The Nets meanwhile maintain their grasp atop the conference with a slim one-game lead over the Chicago Bulls.
