While it's all just speculation at the moment, Denver Nuggets fans can't help but gush at the potential of Blake Griffin joining Nikola Jokic in the team's starting unit next season.

Nuggets free agents Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee have come to terms on separate deals with the Detroit Pistons on Friday.

Eagled-eyed fans were quick to point out that Grant and Plumlee's new contracts actually match Griffin's remaining two-years on his deal, opening the doors for a potential sign-and-trade blockbuster. The Pistons are reportedly trying to rebuild after dealing Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. Griffin is obviously next on the trading block and Nuggets fans couldn't be any happier.

Both sides, meanwhile, have yet to express thoughts on this potential deal, but it really is something to consider, especially for Denver. Their starting forward Paul Millsap has garnered a lot of interest in free agency, and the Nuggets' brass are also not keen on keeping him. Adding a player of Griffin's caliber only makes the young team even more formidable next season and could make a case as the best team in the West.

Led by the brilliance of Jokic and Jamal Murray, Denver overachieved last year and made it all the way to the West Finals against the eventual champions, Los Angeles Lakers.

Griffin has several playoff experiences under his belt and could definitely add another dynamic to head coach Mike Malone's offense. A Jokic-Griffin frontline will be scary for the rest of the league, given the Serbian's playmaking and the latter's athleticism.

Griffin, of course, has been grounded by injuries in recent seasons but has developed other facets of his game, particularly his range. The six-time All-Star notched career-lows of 15.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in just 18 appearances for the Pistons last year.
