Indiana Pacers head coach Nate McMillan was disappointed with how officials viewed the last play of the game in Tuesday's 122-120 loss to the Charlotte Hornets.

Forward Jakarr Sampson was called for a foul on a 3-point shot against Devonte' Graham, who made the first two foul shots and missed the third with 1.7 seconds left in the game.

Needless to say, McMillan didn't agree with the call:

“I didn't feel that was a foul at all,” said McMillan after the game, referring to the aforementioned play, according to Mark Montieth. “He got two calls tonight our guys had our hands up, he's initiating the contact. We did foul a lot this game but I didn't think that was a foul.”

McMillan argued that Graham was fishing for the foul and the officials bailed him out with it, giving the Hornets a key string of free throws at a vital point of the contest.

The Pacers were also grossly outscored from the foul line in general. The Hornets shot an inefficient 28-of-42 from the charity stripe, but the Pacers only mustered a 6-of-7 slate in Tuesday's game.

Indiana attacked the basket with ferocity, but nobody besides Malcolm Brogdon (31 points, 5-of-5 from the foul line) and T.J. Warren (33 points, 1-of-2 from the line) mustered attempts.

McMillan's team had won three straight games after bouncing back from three losses to open up the season. The coach argued his team didn't help itself in this game by not making plays and with Charlotte being the aggressor throughout the game.
